Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Alif Lam Mim. 1 These are Verses of the Wise Book,- 2 A Guide and a Mercy to the Doers of Good,- 3 Those who establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity, and have (in their hearts) the assurance of the Hereafter. 4 They are on guidance from their Lord, and will prosper. 5 And some people buy words of play, in order to mislead from Allah’s path, without knowledge; and to make it an article of mockery; for them is a disgraceful punishment. 6 When Our revelations are recited to them, they turn back on their heels out of pride as if they did not hear them or their ears had been sealed off. Warn them of the painful torment. 7 Surely those who believe and do good deeds shall have Gardens of Bliss. 8 wherein they will live forever. It is the true promise of God. He is Majestic and All-wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars that you see and cast on the earth firm mountains lest it should shake with you. Upon it He dispersed all manner of crawling thing, and He sent down water from the sky with which He caused to grow in it every generous kind. 10 [All] this is God's creation: show Me, then, what others than He may have created! Nay, but the evildoers are obviously lost in error! 11
