Sheba (Saba)
54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Luqmaan (Luqmaan) before The Throngs (Al-Zumer)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Praise is for Allah, to whom belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth! And the Praise belongs to Him in the Everlasting Life. He is the Wise, the Knower. 1 He knows all that enters the earth, and all that comes out of it, as well as all that descends from the skies, and all that ascends to them. And He alone is a dispenser of grace, truly-forgiving. 2 And the disbelievers said, “The Last Day will never come upon us”; proclaim, “Surely yes, why not? By oath of my Lord, it will surely come upon you the All Knowing of the hidden; nothing is hidden from Him equal to an atom or less than it or greater in the heavens or in the earth, but it is in a clear Book.” 3 in order that He recompenses those who believe and do good works; theirs shall be forgiveness and a generous provision. 4 But those who strive against Our revelations, challenging (Us), theirs will be a painful doom of wrath. 5 (O Prophet), those who have knowledge see clearly that what has been revealed to you from your Lord is the Truth and directs to the Way of the Most Mighty, the Immensely Praiseworthy Lord. 6 And the disbelievers said, “Shall we show you a man who will tell you that ‘When you have disintegrated into the smallest pieces, you are to be created again’?” 7 Has he (Muhammad SAW) invented a lie against Allah, or is there a madness in him? Nay, but those who disbelieve in the Hereafter are (themselves) in a torment, and in far error. 8 Have they not seen the heavens and the earth in front and behind them. Had We wanted, We could have caused the earth to swallow them up or made a part of the sky fall upon them. In this there is evidence (of the truth) for every repenting person. 9
