۞ And when a description of the son of Marium is given, lo! your people raise a clamor thereat. 57 and say: 'What, are our gods better, or is he?' They do not mention him to you except to dispute, truly, they are a contentious nation. 58 He is only a servant We blessed, and We made him to be an example to the Children of Israel. 59 And had We willed We could have appointed angels born of you in the earth to succeed each other. 60 AND, BEHOLD, this [divine writ] is indeed a means to know [that] the Last Hour [is bound to come]; hence, have no doubt whatever about it, but follow Me: this [alone] is a straight way. 61 and do not let satan prevent you, for he is your clear enemy. 62 And when (Prophet) Jesus came with clear signs, he said: 'I have come to you with wisdom and to clarify to you some of the matters about which you differ. Fear Allah and obey me. 63 Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is a straight path." 64 But certain groups created differences among themselves. Woe to the unjust. They will face a painful torment. 65 What are they waiting for – except the Last Day, that it may suddenly come upon them while they are unaware? 66 On that Day even bosom friends shall become enemies to one another, all except the God-fearing. 67
