and We saved the Children of Israel from a humiliating punishment 30 From Firaun; he was indeed proud, among the transgressors. 31 We knowingly chose them above all other people 32 and bestowed upon them the Signs wherein lay an evident test for them. 33 These men do say, 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if you speak truly!' 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those who were before them whom We destroyed? Indeed they were sinners. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, out of play. 38 We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know. 39 VERILY, the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false] is the term appointed for all of them: 40 the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped, 41 save those to whom God shows mercy. Surely, He is the Mighty, the Merciful One. 42
