No, by the moon! 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 As they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
