The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Read (Prophet Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord who created, 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - 3 who taught by the pen, 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 No indeed; surely Man waxes insolent, 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the return. 8 What is your opinion – regarding him who forbids – 9 A votary when he (turns) to pray? 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 or is concerned with God-consciousness? 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 Does he not realize that God sees him? 14 Let him beware! If he does not desist, We will drag him by the forelock -- 15 A lying, sinful forehead. 16 and then let him summon [to his aid] the counsels of his own [spurious] wisdom, 17 We will call the guards of Hell (to deal with him)! 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
