The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 dividing the gathering. 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
