Victory (Al-Fatt-h)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
We have granted to you, (Muhammad), a manifest victory, 1 that Allah forgives your past and future sins, and completes His Favor to you, and guides you on a Straight Path, 2 And that Allah may help you with strong help. 3 It is He who from on high has bestowed inner peace upon the hearts of the believers, so that - seeing that God's are all the forces of the heavens and the earth, and that God is all-knowing, truly wise - they might grow yet more firm in their faith; 4 [and] that He might admit the believers, both men and women, into gardens through which running waters flow, therein to abide, and that He might efface their [past bad] deeds: and that is, in the sight of God, indeed a triumph supreme! 5 And [that] He may punish the hypocrite men and hypocrite women, and the polytheist men and polytheist women - those who assume about Allah an assumption of evil nature. Upon them is a misfortune of evil nature; and Allah has become angry with them and has cursed them and prepared for them Hell, and evil it is as a destination. 6 To God belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth; God is All-mighty, All-wise. 7 We have sent you as witness (of the truth) and harbinger of good news and a warner, 8 so that you may believe in God and His Messenger, and may help him, and honour him, and so that you may glorify God morning and evening. 9 Verily, those who give Bai'a (pledge) to you (O Muhammad SAW) they are giving Bai'a (pledge) to Allah. The Hand of Allah is over their hands. Then whosoever breaks his pledge, breaks only to his own harm, and whosoever fulfills what he has covenanted with Allah, He will bestow on him a great reward. 10
