Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 as if they were startled asses 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
