The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 Who created and proportioned 2 who determined and guided, 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
