The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the night when it covers 1 and by the day as it appears radiantly, 2 And the creating of the male and the female, 3 surely your striving is to diverse ends. 4 As for him who gives and is godfearing 5 and believes in the truth of the ultimate good 6 We will facilitate for him the easy end. 7 But as for him who is a miser, and self-sufficient, 8 And denies the best [reward], 9 Surely We will ease his way unto adversity. 10 His wealth will not avail him when he falls into ruin. 11 BEHOLD, it is indeed for Us to grace [you] with guidance; 12 and to Us belongs the Hereafter as well as the present world -- 13 Now I have warned you of a Fire that flames, 14 None shall enter it but the most unhappy, 15 The one who denied and turned away. 16 Far removed from it will be the righteous 17 Who gives away his wealth, purifying himself 18 And have in his mind no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, 19 Except only the desire to seek the Countenance of his Lord, the Most High; 20 and the reward (of their Lord) will certainly make them happy. 21
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
