T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent down to you the Qur'an that you be distressed 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 all that is in the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and all that is underneath the soil. 6 If you speak loudly; He has indeed knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 Have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! 11 "O Moses, I am verily your Lord, so take off your shoes, for you are in the holy plain of Towa. 12 And I have chosen thee, so hearken unto that which is inspired. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no god except Me. Worship Me, and establish the prayer of My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. 15 Do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires bar you from it, or you will perish. 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 He said: it is my staff; I lean there on; and therewith beat down fodder for my sheep; and for me therein are other purposes. 18 Said He, 'Cast it down, Moses!' 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. 21 Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. 22 “In order that We may show you Our great signs.” 23 "[And now] go thou unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity. 24
