The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was killed 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 The closing night, 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 So where are you going? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
Almighty God's Truth.
