Whoso blinds himself to the Remembrance of the All-merciful, to him We assign a Satan for comrade; 36 Surely the (devils) obstruct them from the path, though they think they are rightly guided, -- 37 till, when he comes to Us, he says, 'Would there had been between me and thee the distance of the two Easts!' An evil comrade! 38 And since you were unjust, it will not profit you this day that you are sharers in the chastisement. 39 What, will you make the deaf hear, or guide the blind and he who is in clear error? 40 But if We should take you away, still We shall inflict retribution on them; 41 Or if We shew thee that wherewith We threaten them, verily We are going to prevail over them. 42 So, hold fast to the Book that has been revealed to you, you are surely on the right path, 43 It is a (source) of greatness for you and your people. You will surely be questioned about it. 44 And ask (O Muhammad SAW) those of Our Messengers whom We sent before you: "Did We ever appoint aliha (gods) to be worshipped besides the Most Beneficent (Allah)?" 45
