Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 storming tempestuously 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
