He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 because the blind man approached him! 2 But what could tell you that per chance he might become pure (from sins)? 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him? 4 For him who does not care, 5 To him do you address yourself. 6 though you will not be questioned even if he never purifies himself. 7 but as for one who comes to you, eagerly 8 and fearfully, 9 you pay him no heed. 10 By no means! Verily it is an admonition. 11 So whosoever willeth - let him be admonished therewlth. 12 It is set down on honoured pages, 13 uplifted, purified, 14 By the hands of scribes. 15 Honourable and Virtuous. 16 May man be slain how ungrateful he is! 17 Of what [stuff] has He created him? 18 Out of a drop of sperm He creates him, and thereupon determines his nature, 19 Then He makes the Path easy for him; 20 Then gave him death, so had him put in the grave. 21 and then, if it be His will, He shall raise him again to life, 22 Nay, but [man] has never yet fulfilled what He has enjoined upon him! 23 Then let man look to his food, 24 We poured out the rains abundantly, 25 and let the earth to break open 26 And We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 and vines and edible plants, 28 And olives and palms 29 And garden-closes of thick foliage 30 And fruits and herbage: 31 [As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock. 32 Then when cometh the Deafening Cry 33 That Day shall a man flee from his own brother, 34 his mother and his father, 35 And his spouse and his son-- 36 Each man will have enough cares that day. 37 On that day faces will be bright as dawn, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news (of Paradise). 39 And other faces that Day will be dust-stained, 40 Darkness shall cover them. 41 Those! they are the infidels, the ungodly. 42
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
