Messengers! Eat of that which is good and do good deeds; I have knowledge of the things you do. 51 And indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me." 52 Yet they divided themselves into factions, each rejoicing in what they had. 53 Leave them in their perplexity for a time. 54 Do they think that We enlarge them in wealth and children, 55 Is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they do not perceive. 56 Verily! Those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 Who believe in their Lord's revelations, 58 And those who do not ascribe any partner to their Lord – 59 and those who give what they give, their hearts quaking that they are returning to their Lord -- 60 to God, these are the ones who really compete with each other in virtuous deeds and are the foremost ones in the task. 61 And We task not any soul except according to its capacity, and with Us is a book speaking with truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 Yet their hearts are oblivious of this; and besides, they are busy with other things, 63 So that when We seize the affluent among them with affliction, they will begin to implore for help. 64 (It will be said): "Groan not in supplication this day: for ye shall certainly not be helped by Us. 65 For when My revelations were read out to you, you turned back on your heels and fled 66 being proud against it, talking foolishness by night. 67 Did they never ponder over this Word (of God)? Or has he (to wit, the Messenger) brought something the like of which did not come to their forefathers of yore? 68 Or do they not recognize their Messenger, and so deny him? 69 Or do they say, 'He is bedevilled'? Nay, he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse from the truth. 70 Had the truth followed their caprices, the heavens and the earth and whosoever in them is had surely corrupted. Nay, We brought them their Remembrance, but from their Remembrance they turned. 71 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers. 72 And certainly, you (O Muhammad SAW) call them to a Straight Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism). 73 but those who disbelieve in the Everlasting Life deviate from the Path. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed their afflictions, they would still persist in their insolence, blindly wandering. 75 We had seized them with the punishment, but they did not bow before their Lord nor turned to Him in humility, 76 Until, when We open for them the gate of extreme punishment, behold! they are aghast thereat. 77
