The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 And there can be no denying of its befalling. 2 Abasing exalting. 3 When the earth is shaken violently, 4 And the mountains are crumbled, crumbled. 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 [on that Day,] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds. 7 Thus, there shall be such as will have attained to what is right: oh, how [happy] will be they who have attained to what is right! 8 Companions of the Left (O Companions of the Left!) 9 and the Outstrippers: the Outstrippers 10 (The foremost ones) will be the nearest ones to God 11 In gardens of bliss [will they dwell] 12 a host of the ancients 13 and how few of the later folk) 14 They will recline on jewelled couches 15 reclining on them facing each other; 16 Round about them shall go youths never altering in age, 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of pure drink; 18 Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses. 19 along with fruits of their choice; 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 and fair maidens with large, lustrous eyes 22 beautiful as pearls hidden in their shells. 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 Therein they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 They will be in (the shade) of thornless lote 28 Bananatrees, piled 29 and continuous shade, 30 And water everflowing. 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 Unending, unforbidden, 33 and upraised couches. 34 Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth, 35 So made them as maidens. 36 The beloved of their husbands, of one age. 37 like of age for the Companions of the Right. 38

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
