Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 As justification or warning, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 until an appointed time? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
