The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 by the drawers (the angels of death), gently drawing (the souls of the believers), 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 and their eyes shall be downcast with dread. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 And thereupon God took him to task, [and made him] a warning example in the life to come as well as in this world. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
