The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 And it is no joke. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
