Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching soul. 2 Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yea, verily. We are Able to restore his very fingers! 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 When the eye is bewildered, 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself, 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 Nay; the truth is that you love ardently (the good of this world) that can be obtained hastily, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy, 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
