Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 storming tempestuously 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
