Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Have We not opened forth for thee thy breast? 1 and relieved you of your burden 2 that had weighed so heavily on thy back? 3 And We have exalted your remembrance for you. 4 Surely with difficulty is ease. 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 So when thou art relieved, still toil 7 and be devoted to your Lord's service. 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
