۞ And We sent Hud, their brother, to the people of 'Ad. He said: "O you people, worship God, for you have no other god but He. Will you not take heed for yourselves?" 65 Said the great ones among his people, who refused to acknowledge the truth: "Verily, we see that thou art weak-minded; and verily, we think that thou art a liar!" 66 He said: 'O my people! There is no folly in me; rather I am a Messenger from the Lord of the universe. 67 I am conveying my Lord's messages to you and I am your sincere and honest adviser. 68 "Do ye wonder that there hath come to you a message from your Lord through a man of your own people, to warn you? call in remembrance that He made you inheritors after the people of Noah, and gave you a stature tall among the nations. Call in remembrance the benefits (ye have received) from Allah: that so ye may prosper." 69 They said: "You have come to us that we should worship Allah Alone and forsake that which our fathers used to worship. So bring us that wherewith you have threatened us if you are of the truthful." 70 (Hud) said: "Torment and wrath have already fallen on you from your Lord. Dispute you with me over names which you have named - you and your fathers, with no authority from Allah? Then wait, I am with you among those who wait." 71 So We delivered him and those with him by mercy from Us, and We cut off the last of those who rejected Our communications and were not believers. 72
