[Musa (Moses)] said: "O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness). 25 And ease my task for me; 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 And give to me an aider from my family: 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 To strengthen me 31 And let him share my task 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 and remember you often. 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 When We inspired to your mother what We inspired, 38 “That, ‘Put him into a chest and cast it into the river, so the river shall deposit it on to a shore – therefore one who is an enemy to Me and you, shall pick him up’; and I bestowed upon you love from Myself; and for you to be brought up in My sight.” 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 "Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds; 43 "But speak to him mildly; perchance he may take warning or fear (Allah)." 44 The two [brothers] said: "O our Sustainer! Verily, we fear lest he act hastily with regard to us, or lest he [continue to] transgress all bounds of equity." 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 He said: Then what is the state of the former generations? 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 It is He who has laid out the earth for you and traced routes in it and sent down water from the sky. We have brought forth every sort of plant with it, 53 Eat and pasture your cattle; most surely there are signs in this for those endowed with understanding. 54
