And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 The honest Spirit (Gabriel) brought it down 193 to your heart that you might become one of those who warn (others on behalf of Allah), 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 Without doubt it is (announced) in the mystic Books of former peoples. 196 Is it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed. 199 Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe in it until they suffer the painful torment. 201 But the (Penalty) will come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 Beholdest thou? if We let them enjoy for years. 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments? 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 neither are they worthy of it, nor are they capable of it, 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 So call on no other god but God, lest you are condemned to torment; 213 And warn your nearest relations, 214 And lower thy wing (in kindness) unto those believers who follow thee. 215 then, if they disobey thee, say, 'I am quit of that you do.' 216 and place thy trust in the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 217 who sees thee when thou standest 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 Surely He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the Shayatin (devils) descend? 221 They descend on every lying sinner, 222 They give ear, but most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, only the wayward follow them. 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
