We sent Noah to his people and he lived among them for fifty short of a thousand years; then the deluge overtook them, for they were wrongdoers. 14 But We saved him and all who were in the Ark, and made (the event) a sign to the worlds. 15 Abraham told his people, "Worship God and have fear of Him. It is better for you if only you knew it. 16 You only worship, besides Allah, idols, and you produce a falsehood. Indeed, those you worship besides Allah do not possess for you [the power of] provision. So seek from Allah provision and worship Him and be grateful to Him. To Him you will be returned." 17 If you reject the truth, other communities before you also rejected the truth. The messenger's responsibility is only to convey the message clearly." 18 See they not how Allah originates creation, then repeats it: truly that is easy for Allah. 19 Say: "Travel in the land and see how (Allah) originated creation, and then Allah will bring forth (resurrect) the creation of the Hereafter (i.e. resurrection after death). Verily, Allah is Able to do all things." 20 He punishes whomever He wills and has mercy upon whomever He wills; and towards Him only you are to return. 21 And ye cannot escape in the earth nor in the heaven, and beside Allah there is for you no friend nor helper. 22
