Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). 2 Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it, 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 And you have forsaken the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 looking towards their Lord; 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 so they might think the Calamity had been inflicted upon them. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
