The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ What are they asking (one another)? 1 Concerning the Great News, 2 on which they [so utterly] disagree. 3 Nay, they will come to know! 4 Surely, they will soon find out the truth! 5 Have We not made the earth as a place to rest 6 The mountains tent-pins? 7 And We have created you in pairs, 8 And made your sleep for rest, 9 And made the night as a covering, 10 And made the day as a means of subsistence? 11 And We have built above you seven firmaments, 12 And have made (therein) a shinning lamp (sun). 13 And then sent down hard rain from the water bearing clouds. 14 In order to produce grain and plants with it. 15 And orchards full of trees and interlacing boughs. 16 Surely, the Day of Judgement has an appointed time. 17 the day the Trumpet is blown, and you shall come in troops, 18 And the heaven is opened and becometh as gates, 19 And the mountains shall vanish, as if they were a mirage. 20 Hell will lie in wait (for its prey). 21 For the transgressors a place of destination: 22 there, they shall live for ages, 23 They shall not taste therein cool nor drink 24 Save a boiling fluid and a fluid, dark, murky, intensely cold, 25 Reward proportioned (to their evil deeds). 26 For indeed they did not look forward to any reckoning, 27 And called Our communications a lie, giving the lie (to the truth). 28 And all things We have recorded in a Book. 29 [So We shall say], "Taste, then, [the fruit of your evil doings,] for now We shall bestow on you nothing but more and more suffering!" 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
