Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 and the brooding night! 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
