The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
The Striking! 1 What is the terrible calamity! 2 And what do you know what the Calamity is? 3 On that Day people shall become like scattered moths 4 and the mountains shall be like plucked wool-tufts. 5 Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds], 6 He shall live a pleasant life. 7 But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,- 8 the Abyss shall be his home. 9 Would that you knew what hawiya his? 10 (It is) a Fire which is extremely hot. 11
