Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 He abandoned his people 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 Is it not of their own calumny that they say, 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 we are the rangers, 165 and we glorify God". 166 And there were those who said, 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 Therefore turn away from them till a time, 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn away from them for a time 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
