The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Taught the Quran. 2 Created man, 3 He taught him eloquent speech. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 And the herbs and the trees do prostrate (to Him). 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 That you may not be inordinate in respect of the measure. 8 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 13 He has created man, from dry ringing clay, like the potter"s, 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 He is the Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests. 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 Out of these two [bodies of water] come forth pearls, both great and small. 22 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 23 And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains: 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
