In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the swift scatterers 1 And those who bear the load of rain, 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth). 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 And told: "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 They slept little in the night, 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
