Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of the sun and its light 1 And by the moon as it follows it (the sun); 2 And [by] the day when it displays it 3 The night when it covers him over, 4 And by the heaven and Him Who built it; 5 By the earth and Him Who spread it forth, 6 The soul and how it was integrated 7 then inspired it to understand what was right and wrong for it. 8 Indeed he succeeds who purifies his ownself (i.e. obeys and performs all that Allah ordered, by following the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism and by doing righteous good deeds). 9 And he fails that corrupts it! 10 The Thamud (people) rejected (their prophet) through their inordinate wrong-doing, 11 when the most wicked man among them rose up. 12 the Messenger of Allah said to them: '(This is) the shecamel of Allah, let her drink' 13 But they cried him lies, and hamstrung her, so their Lord crushed them for their sin, and leveled them: 14 And He does not fear its coming behind (to take vengeance). 15
