1/2 Hizb 45

۞ [The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship 22 besides God, and show them the way of hell. 23 And stop them, for they must be questioned. 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 Nay! on that Day they will be entirely submissive. 26 And they will advance toward each other mutually questioning. 27 They will say: "It was you who used to come to us from the right side [i.e. from the right side of one of us and beautify for us every evil, order us for polytheism, and stop us from the truth i.e. Islamic Monotheism and from every good deed]." 28 They will answer, “You yourselves did not have faith!” 29 We had no authority over you, but you were an insolent nation. 30 “So the Word of our Lord has proved true upon us; we will surely have to taste (the punishment).” 31 Therefore we perverted you, and we ourselves were perverts.' 32 So this day they all are partners in the punishment. 33 This is how We deal with the criminals. 34 For when it was said to them: 'There is no god except Allah' they were always proud 35 saying, 'What, shall we forsake our gods for a poet possessed?' 36 Nay, but he brought the Truth, and he confirmed those sent (before him). 37 Most surely you will taste the painful punishment. 38 “And you will not be compensated except for your deeds.” 39 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 40 there is waiting for them a known provision; 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 In gardens of pleasure 43 Facing each other on Thrones (of Dignity): 44 A cup from a gushing spring is brought round for them, 45 White, delicious to those who drink. 46 Wherein there is no headache nor are they made mad thereby. 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 As if they were eggs, safely hidden. 49 They advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 50 One of them will say: “I had a companion in the world 51 who would say, "Are you a confirmer? 52 Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book? 53 He said (to others on the thrones), “Will you take a glimpse (into hell) below?” 54 Then he looks, and sees him in the midst of Hell. 55 He said: "By Allah! thou wast little short of bringing me to perdition! 56 And but for the favour of my lord, I should have been of those brought forward. 57 Is it then that we are not going to die, 58 “Except our earlier death, and nor will we be punished?” 59 “This is, most certainly, the supreme success.” 60 for the like of this let the workers work.' 61 Is this better as a welcome, or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 We have indeed made that a punishment for the unjust. 63 It is a tree that grows from the bottom of Hell; 64 Its fruit like the heads of demons. 65 And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. 66 Washing it down with boiling water. 67 Then most surely their return shall be to hell. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 yet they run in their footsteps, 70 And assuredly many of the ancients went astray before them, 71 And certainly We sent among them warners. 72 See then the end of those who were warned, 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74
