3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm." 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 We cried out: “O Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
