No! By the moon 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 a warning to mortal man 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent; 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
