Al-Burooj
The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 by a burning fire 5 when they were seated around it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
