The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
