The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 thinking his riches have made him immortal! 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 In extended columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
