And (remember) when your Lord called Musa (Moses) (saying): "Go to the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing), 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear and take heed?" 11 He said, "My Lord, indeed I fear that they will deny me 12 "My breast will be straitened. And my speech may not go (smoothly): so send unto Aaron. 13 They have charged me [with a crime] for which I am afraid they will kill me." 14 God said, "Indeed not; go both of you with Our signs, We shall be with you, listening [to your call]. 15 Go to Pharaoh, both of you, and say, 'We are messengers from the Lord of the Worlds: 16 Send forth with us the Children of Israel' 17 The Pharaoh said, "Did we not bring you up in our home as an infant and did you not live with us for many years 18 You spent many years of your life among us and then you committed that deed of yours. You are very ungrateful indeed." 19 Replied [Moses]: "I committed it while I was still going astray; 20 So I fled from you when I feared you, then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me of the apostles; 21 "And this is the favour with which thou dost reproach me,- that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 Fir'awn said: and what is the Lord of the worlds? 23 Moses answered: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, if you were only to believe." 24 Pharaoh said to those around him: "Do you hear (what he says)?" 25 Said Moosa, “Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers preceding you.” 26 (Pharaoh) said: "Truly your messenger who has been sent to you is a veritable madman!" 27 He said, 'The Lord of the East and West, and what between them is, if you have understanding,' 28 (Pharaoh) said: "If thou dost put forward any god other than me, I will certainly put thee in prison!" 29 (Moses) said: "Even though I have brought to you something convincing?" 30 (Pharaoh) said: "Show it then, if thou tellest the truth!" 31 Thereupon [Moses] threw down his staff - and lo! it was a serpent, plainly visible; 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it was white unto the beholders. 33
