Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.” 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 and would pray for forgiveness from their innermost hearts; 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as surely true as that you have speech. 23
