The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 when they were seated around it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
