The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
