And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 The Trusted Spirit hath brought it down. 193 Upon your heart (O Muhammad SAW) that you may be (one) of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 Truly, it is in the Books of the ancients. 196 Is it not a Sign to them - (to wit, the Makkans) - that the learned men of the Children of Israel know that? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 they will not believe in it until they see the grievous punishment. 201 that will come upon them [on resurrection,] all of a sudden, without their being aware [of its approach]; 202 and then they will exclaim, "Could we have a respite?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 Beholdest thou? if We let them enjoy for years. 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. 208 to admonish them. We have never been unjust. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it. 212 So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished. 213 Warn your tribe and your near kinsmen. 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 Put your trust in the Mighty One, the Merciful, 217 who sees thee when thou standest 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 Surely, He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 Only the erring people follow the poets. 224 Have you not seen them wandering and bewildered in every valley 225 And that they say what they do not do? - 226 Except those who believe and do the right, and remember God a great deal, who retaliate only when they have been wronged. Yet the oppressors will now come to know through what reversals they will be overthrown! 227
