Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 And the moon is buried in darkness. 8 And sun and moon are united, 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue therewith that thou mayest hasten therewith. 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and it is said: “Is there any enchanter who can step forward and help (by his chanting)?” 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 And agony is heaped on agony; 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
