The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 By the Promised Day! 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they sat by it, 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
