Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the bright forenoon, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
